This logo leans on some slavic symbols of home like the flax flower and natural motifs from gzhel ceramics to create a cohesive brand look, and refined, feminine look, yet naturalistic and understated finish.

Benjamin R. Sokol

For this logo we went for a royal tone with subtle, red brocade, and gold textures wrapping a logo form of elegant serif letters and a crown. We also did a badge version with two falcons opposite each-other, a symbol of majesty and hot pursuit of the object of one's desire; perfect for a rising, young musician, and actually part of Sokol family heraldry!

2021

BON APPÉTIT

VIDEO PRODUCTION EDITOR

This charming Julia Child opera was produced in a for-video format and I worked with the director to edit this opera video production. I created the banding and logo image for this production, as well as executed all editing nd color correction from the various assets filmed on-set, as well as created a vintage TV screen-replacement introduction, and handled minor effects.

2020

MADAMA BUTTERFLY

LEAD CAMPAIGN DESIGNER AND

VIDEO PRODUCTION EDITOR

I adapted Opera in The Rock's previous production of Madama Butterfly for streaming at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic to connect with audiences in their homes. I did all the visual branding for the digital version of this opera, as well as all principal editing, including an opening credits sequence overtop the overture, a re-edit of the 'humming chorus' from the opera for end credits, as well an intermission presentation with speeches, a real-time countdown to the second half and more. I was also responsible for color correction, subtitles, and more. Lastly, I also creating a video ad and social posts to promote this adaptation, fabricating assets and overlays.

2019

BREW CITY OPERA

BRAND DESIGNER

I designed the brand image for the up-start company, Brew City Opera, of Milwaukee WI. I designed the logo, including a bespoke font, as well as the overall brand image. I also created the first iteration of their website and sit as a senior adviser to the company.

2014 — 2015

CARTHAGE COLLEGE
STUDENT OPERA

MARKETING AND PR DIRECTOR

I created the brand image and logo to give form and brand ID to the developing opera program at Carthage College. I was responsible for promoting the productions with posters for print and social posts, as well as creating and maintaining new social media avenues for the program and handling much of the public-facing affairs for the program including radio interviews and print articles.

2022 — 2024

UNISON MEDIA

WEBSITES + SOCIAL MEDIA DIVISIONS

I am part of two teams at Unison Media. I am our Website Account Manager, taking point with clients to organize with them, build websites for artists, companies and other needs in the Classical music industry. I am also on a social media team, pitching, creating, editing, deploying and performance assessing content to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo and more.

2020 — 2022

KENOSHA OPERA FESTIVAL

HEAD OF MARKETING

I founded this opera festival and, besides my executive duties, I was responsible for all marketing, branding, and public-facing needs for the Festival. I created numerous brands for KOF including the company brand, logos for season tickets, web-shows like ScoreKeeping and FunFacts!, branding and promotional campaigns for all stage productions, donorship campaigns, built our website, and more. At KOF I designed logos, created social content, created ads, filmed, photographed, recorded audio, and edited to produce deployable assets to promote the work of the Festival.

2021

L'ULTIMA CANZONE

LOGO AND CAMPAIGN DESIGNER

During COVID-19 Brew City Opera created an audio-only, radio-style program to release on the web. I created the logo, brand image, social posts/posters, and video ads for this project.
